Description

The LCS Folding Glide Propeller is built on Lift's 2026 folding propeller redesign, a reshaped collapse and reinforcement at the highest-stress points. On that foundation, the Glide runs its own blade geometry, sized and pitched for efficiency and glide. Blades measure 1.25 inches at the widest section, the narrowest profile in Lift's folding line, with 5.6 inches of pitch on a 6 inch diameter. The profile folds flat against the hub the moment the motor cuts. It ships standard on every 55mm propulsion and runs on any 68mm motor with the LCS Base Plate and LCS Tail Cone installed. Construction is aluminum with stainless steel inserts.

Product Material:

  • Aluminum with stainless steel inserts
  • Blade Pitch: 5.6" (142 mm)
  • Blade Diameter: 6" (152 mm)
  • Blade Width (widest section): 1.25" (32 mm)

Compatibility:

  • 55mm Motor (native)
  • 68mm Motor (with kit)

LCS Propeller Installation Guide

⚠️ IMPORTANT: It is critical all eFoil equipment is turned off and the battery is disconnected before working with or around the motor or propellers.

  • Avoid contact with the spinning propeller, as it can cause severe injury or death.
  • Keep your fingers, toes, and body parts clear of the propeller at all times.
  • Do not handle the propeller while the battery is installed in the board.
  • Do not handle your propeller in the water.

Which Motor Does Your eFoil Have?

The propeller you need depends on your motor size. Measure the diameter of the circular motor face — the end of your propulsion unit — and match it below.

Measure across the center of your motor face

Remove your existing propeller if installed. Using a ruler or calipers, measure straight across the circular end of the motor housing. Match your result to the options below.

Note on the LCS Base Plate: LIFT5 ships with it pre-installed. LIFT5 F, LIFT4, LIFT3, and LIFT3 F have a bare 68mm motor face — the Base Plate is included in the 68mm Kit and installs first.

Glide or Power?

Both propellers fit 55mm and 68mm motors. The difference is in the ride.

LCS Folding Glide Propeller
Narrowest blade · lowest drag · smoothest surf feel
Blade Width
1.25" (32mm)
Blade Pitch
5.6" (142mm)
Blade Diameter
6" (152mm)
Material
Aluminum + Stainless Steel Inserts
Rider level

Best for advanced riders focused on surf performance, wave glide, and battery efficiency. May not suit heavier riders wanting more drive off the line.

LCS Folding Power Propeller
Widest blade · more thrust · higher speed under power
Blade Width
1.8" (46mm)
Blade Pitch
6.3" (160mm)
Blade Diameter

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the Glide and Power folding propellers?

Two folding props. The difference is blade size. The Glide runs 1.25 inch blades, the narrowest of the two. This means it draws less from the battery at cruise and folds to a narrower profile off power, for more glide. The Power runs 1.8 inch blades, the widest of the two, for more thrust at takeoff and more speed under power. Both fold flat when the motor cuts. Choose on your motor size and rider weight.

LIFT5/LIFT5 F run the 68mm motor stock, and will need the kit.

LIFTX runs the 55mm motor stock and can buy the folding prop without the kit.

I ride a LIFTX. Which folding propeller should I get?

Your LIFTX runs a 55mm motor and ships with the Glide installed in 2026. If you bought last year, this year's Glide propeller has an improved construction and hydrodynamics. For most LIFTX riders that is the prop to keep. The 55mm platform is built for wave and surf, where the Glide's lower draw and clean off-power glide do the most work. Heavier riders who want more thrust at takeoff, or riders who want more top speed, can run the Power. On a 55mm motor, the Power installs as the propeller only. No kit needed.

I ride a LIFT5. Which folding propeller should I get?

Most LIFT5 packages run a 68mm motor. On a 68mm motor, either folding prop installs with the LCS Base Plate and LCS Tail Cone, included in the kit. Most LIFT5 riders will want the Power. The larger board and the higher rider weights it carries take more thrust to get on foil, and the 1.8 inch blade drives the takeoff. Lighter riders, around 185 pounds and under, who want more glide off power and lower draw at cruise can run the Glide on the same kit. (If your LIFT5 runs a 55mm motor, follow the LIFTX answer above.)

Do I need the LCS kit to install a folding propeller?

Motor size decides. A 55mm motor takes either folding prop directly, propeller only. A 68mm motor needs the LCS Base Plate and LCS Tail Cone to run a folding prop. If you have a 68mm motor the Power & Glide both have the option to order as a kit with both parts included.

I'm still learning to foil, which folding propeller should I get?

Neither yet. A folding propeller assumes you are already confident on foil. While you are learning, a fixed propeller or the jet is the better setup. Come back to the folding props once you are riding off power.

We're here to help

  • The jump from the previous generation is quite ambitious… Lift's new generation of eFoils are so much fun to ride and provide so many improvements that they've carved out a compelling claim to the best efoil in 2025.

  • LIFTX introduces a new category in water sports by merging the agility of a surf foil with the power of an eFoil.

  • LIFT5 and LIFTX represent huge innovations in the eFoil industry and coupled with accessories like Blowfish and leading edge controllers, snap-together assembly, and long-range integrated batteries, will make this the next big leap in the eFoil surfboard industry.

  • After riding them, they feel incredible underfoot… everything has been refined. Board profiles are surfier (and just plain rad), batteries are easier to use, and built into the boards, and foils can be switched out with a simple click.
