Bolt-on wings work with both the 32" LCS Carbon 55 (LIFTX) and 32" LCS Carbon 68 (LIFT5) propulsion units, and most components move freely across the lineup, with one exception: LCS wings aren't compatible with the LIFT5 F's propulsion unit. Advanced: LIFT5 F can take a rider a long way, but its aluminum propulsion, without the integrated nose cone found on LIFT5's carbon masts, and its 28" mast set a practical ceiling on how far it goes without an upgrade. LIFT5 removes that ceiling as configured.
LIFTX asks more of a new rider than LIFT5 or LIFT5 F. A beginner can start on LIFTX, but should look to instruction. Expect to spend more time finding your balance, foot position, and understanding foil actuation to avoid extended motor strain. Lighter riders will also find LIFTX easier than heavier riders (185 lbs and up), mainly due to buoyancy and stability. LCS (Lift Connect System) is the modular platform connecting your eBox to your propulsion unit and battery, so those components can be swapped as you upgrade or change your setup, on the LIFT5, for example, you can swap propulsion units right at the eBox when you're ready for more height. On LIFT5 and LIFTX, wings are part of that same LCS system too. The one exception is the LIFT5 F, where wings are bolt-on rather than LCS quick-connect, though bolt-on wings still work across both the LIFT5 and LIFTX propulsion units.
