Frequently Asked Questions

Still have questions? Reach out to our team.

How does the trade-in program work?

You complete the trade-in form, and our Lift team reaches out to guide you through next steps. From there, you complete your LIFT5 purchase. Once it arrives, you use the box it came in to ship your trade-in board and accessories back. Once that's picked up and validated at our distribution center, we issue your credit.

Do I need to buy a LIFT5 before starting the trade-in?

No. Start with the trade-in form first. Once you submit it, a member of our Lift team will reach out and help guide you through purchasing your LIFT5. Your trade-in credit is issued once that purchase is complete and your board is validated.

What items are required to receive trade-in credit?

To receive your trade-in credit, we need your board, battery, propulsion unit, and hand controller back. These are the required core components. Anything else you send (wings, bags, charger) is appreciated but optional and won't affect your credit.

What if I'm missing wings, bags, or accessories?

Don't worry about it. Those are optional extras, not requirements. Sending them just helps us process and recycle the board more efficiently.

Is the battery safe to ship?

As long as it's in normal condition and you follow this shipping instructions your battery should be safe. If your battery is swollen, punctured, leaking, or visibly damaged, let our Lift team.

How is my trade-in value determined?

Your trade-in value is fixed by board generation. See the credit table above for current amounts. That credit is confirmed once your board arrives at our distribution center and completes warehouse validation.

When do I receive my trade-in credit?

After your trade-in arrives at our distribution center and is validated, your credit is issued to the card used for your LIFT5 purchase, and we'll send you a confirmation email.

How long does the process take?

Our Lift team reaches out within 3 business days of your form submission to get you started. From there, most customers complete the full process (return kit, pickup, validation, and credit issuance) within a few weeks.

Do I have to drop off my trade-in?

No. Once your LIFT5 arrives, you'll pack your trade-in board and accessories into that same box, and we'll send you a prepaid shipping label and schedule a doorstep pickup at a time that works for you. No drop-off required.

What if I have questions during the process?

You're not on your own here. Once you submit the form, we'll reach out to start your trade-in, and you'll have a dedicated member of our Lift team as your point of contact through every step, including packing, pickup, validation, and credit. Reach out anytime with questions along the way.

Is this a limited-time offer?
