A guide on the best places to go for efoiling in Australia.
Lift eFoils is dedicated to making the best eFoils you can find in the market. The construction of each hydrofoil goes through rigorous testing from avid surfers. The body of their eFoils features a unique marbled carbon fiber, which offers incredible durability despite its lightweight. Fun Fact, this is the same material used in constructing racecars.
We can create durable efoils through a dedicated process using refined steel tools. The carbon fiber is forged at extreme heat using these tools, which gives us the perfect blend of lightweight yet durable construction.
Their eFoils also feature a massive Li-ion battery, offering 100 minutes of riding on just a 2-hour charge. The incredible battery life ensures that you don’t have to stay out of the water for long, and after 100 minutes of riding it, you just have to take a short break of 2 hours. The hydrofoil also features a silent electric motor, giving you the speed you deserve.
Lift eFoils started as a mom-and-pop shop before becoming the go-to place for many surfers and efoilers. Our constructions techniques and sheer quality of hydrofoils were able to put us on the map, as fellow surfers also made these hydrofoils. The business started in Puerto Rico in 2010 and has since pursued the ultimate ride. And with each eFoil we have made, we have been coming closer.
One of the reasons why our hydrofoils stand out is because we test each one we make. So not only are these hydrofoils made by avid surfers, but they also test them. And until we’re fully satisfied with the result, we don’t ship the eFoil.
Over the years, we’ve been able to prop up over a hundred demo locations, which has allowed us to sell these hydrofoils to anyone. Nick Leason – co-founder of Lift eFoils – originally came up with the idea for an eFoil, taking inspiration from smartphones and other famous technology.

Currumbin is a popular place for surfers and efoilers alike of all skill sets. While the main crowd consists of avid surfers, you can go a little up north and efoil on the smaller waves. It is especially a good place for beginners, as you can find other beginners there as well.

The Spit is one of the few places on the gold coast that does not worry about winds coming in from the north. You can usually find plenty of surfers here, so keep that in mind when you visit. Luckily, there are a few quiet places you can go to efoil in silence.

Kirra is a great place to go foiling when the southern winds are slower. The waves are smaller, and you can have plenty of fun riding across a relatively empty beach.
If you’re looking to experience efoiling excellence today, then why not go out and try one of our efoils today. Going to one of our centers for a demonstration will give you the chance to try these out for yourself.
